A residential conference for women engaged in paid ministry, full-time or part-time, whether on local church staff teams or serving in other Christian organisations. We recognise the need to provide for and encourage women’s ministry with a distinctive biblical pattern, and this conference seeks to do this. Our principle focus will be on encouragement and help in the central task of teaching God’s Word, the Bible. Alongside this we will address some of the issues faced by women in ministry today.
The Women In Ministry Conference 2012
The next women in ministry conference is, once again, being held at Hothorpe Hall in Leicestershire and runs from 23-26 January 2012. The conference is being hosted by Carrie Sandom and Andrea Trevenna and the main speakers are Vaughan Roberts and Caroline West.

Conference Details
An important part of the conference is the work we do together in workshop groups where we listen to each other give a talk on a Bible passage and then feedback to each other. We are well aware that this may seem rather daunting, especially for those who have never done anything like this before. However, delegates tell us that it is the workshops that have made the most impact on helping them develop their Bible teaching gifts.
We ask people to come prepared to give a ten minute talk on an allocated passage from a chosen book of the Bible. While we know that many women in ministry are not doing Bible talks that regularly (if at all), it is easier to give you feedback on how you have handled a passage if you prepare a talk rather than, for example, a Bible study. You can choose to prepare a talk for children, teenagers or adults. Inevitably, some people will have more experience of teaching the Bible than others but we do not compete with each other; rather, in a setting of mutual encouragement and common purpose we want to gather under God's Word, and help one another to sharpen up our Bible handling skills.
Who should attend?
This conference warmly welcomes women who have the responsibility for a Bible-teaching ministry (whether amongst children, teenagers, students or adults) in a full time, part-time, paid or unpaid capacity and whose ministries reflect the Biblical principle of male headship in family and church.
