Autumn Ministers Conference

This year's Autumn Ministers' conference will again be a joint conference for those in full-time paid preaching ministry.

The Autumn Joint Ministers' Conference 2011

This year's Autumn Joint Ministers' Conference will be held from 7 - 10 November 2011 at Hothorpe Hall, Leicestershire.

This autumn we will be joined by Carl Trueman, Associate Professor of Church history and historical theology at Westminster Theological Seminary. Carl will be exploring what it means to preach a God who is Trinity - something that is sadly lacking in much of so-called evangelical preaching today. Carl will be joined by Dick Lucas, retired rector of St Helen’s Bishopgate who will lead the preaching for preachers in his own inimitable style.

Our autumn conference has an important stream on parenting for preachers. So often we neglect our God given call to be good and wise parents. Charles and Tricia Marnham (St Michael’s, Chester Sqare) will lead us through this key area. It will be suitable both for those with children and those without as we all need to know about the pressures and pitfalls that being a preacher and a parent bring - if not for ourselves, then for our congregations.

The preaching workshops are an integral part of PT Conferences and we regularly hear how the discipline of working together in small groups has reinvigorated ministers for the work of preaching to which they are called.
