Ministry Wives Spring Conference 2019
Monday 4th March 2019 –
Thursday 7th March 2019
Our Spring wives conference is all about encouraging, equipping and energising ministry wives in the work that God has called them to, alongside their husbands. It is for wives who have been in ministry for more than 7 years and is run by a great team. In 2019 the main speakers are Andrew Sach (pastor of Grace Church Greenwich & tutor at Cornhill London) and Nancy Guthrie (author, speaker and host of TGC podcast 'Help Me Teach the Bible'). The conference is a great blend of teaching from the front, seminars and prayer groups as well as lots of opportunity for rest, fellowship and prayer.
This conference is for wives of evangelical ministers who have been in full-time paid ministry for seven or more years. (The Summer Wives conference caters for wives of those who have been in ministry for less than seven years).
A limited number of crèche spaces are available for children under a year. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
Accommodation on site is now fully booked but if you are willing to book your own accommodation offsite you can still come as a non-residential guest.
The non-residential rate for Hothorpe Hall would be £150 for the 3 days - this includes all meals from dinner Monday evening up to and including lunch on Thursday. If you would like to pursue this route please contact the PT Office 020 7407 0569. We can send you a list of some local hotels/B&Bs or there are a Premier Inn and Travelodge both just under 6 miles away.
The conference will begin at 5pm on Monday and conclude with lunch at 12.30pm on Thursday. You can find more information about our residential conferences including a sample timetable here.

Teaching Day for Women 2019
Price £10
Saturday 23rd March 2019
Teaching the Epistles.
A teaching day for women in the local church who are teaching the Bible regularly to children, young people or adults, whether in large groups, small groups or one to one. Join us as we look at the Epistles and the tools needed to unpack this more familiar but sometimes badly handled genre.
The day will run from 9.30am - 4pm and will be held at Willcox House on Borough High Street, London SE1 1LB.
The cost is £10, which includes refreshments and materials, but please bring your own lunch.
The epistles are some of the best-known and most loved books of the bible, but over-familiarity is a dangerous thing! Too often we draw a straight line to us and forget that they were written to real people in a variety of different contexts. So, how are we to understand the epistles and how can we teach them faithfully, without making them all about us?
Join us for a day at Willcox House in London, as we discover some of the tools we need to handle this biblical genre well.
The Day is currently fully booked but if you would like to be added to the waiting list please email conferences@proctrust.org.uk

Workshop for cross cultural preaching training 2019 (Level 2)
Price £30
Wednesday 27th March 2019
Many Bible teachers and preachers around the world have benefited in the past from the 'Project Timothy' programme, whereby pastor-preachers have gone for a week or so on a regular basis to give Bible-training in the Majority world. Last year Neil Watkinson, our International Director, ran some well-received one-day training workshops for those interested in or involved with short-term cross-cultural expository ministry training events. In 2019 there will be a repeat of these workshops. Please note that to be able to come to the Level 2 workshop, you will need to have attended a Level 1 workshop.
Thursday 7 February 2019 - Level 1 workshop.
Wednesday 27 March 2019 - Level 2 workshop.
Both workshops will run for a whole day (9.30am-4.30pm) at Willcox House. Spaces will be limited, so please book soon. The cost of the training will be £30 for the day, which includes a sandwich lunch.

The book of Ecclesiastes is a seeming curiosity within the canon of Scripture. As a piece of wisdom literature, that at times seems to read more like existential poetry than the Bible, any help we can get in handling this book well in order to preach its potent message to others is of great value. Our Autumn Ministers will be focussed in on the book of Ecclesiastes and David Gibson the minister of Trinity Church Aberdeen and author of Destiny: Learning to live by preparing to die will be teaching us. We will also have David Shaw, lecturer at Oak Hill College and theological advisor for the FIEC with us for two sessions. As well as great teaching from the front there are also opening and closing expositions and workshop groups to help us keep making progress in the work God has called us to. Over the conference there is also lots of time for rest, relaxation and fellowship. So whether you are a regular at PT Preaching Conferences or coming for the first time, an experienced preacher or just starting out, UK based or from overseas, we would love to welcome you to this great conference.
The conference will begin at 5pm on Monday and conclude with lunch at 12.30pm on Thursday. You can find more information about our residential conferences including a sample timetable here.

Women in Ministry 2020
Single £345

Triple £230
Monday 20th January 2020 –
Thursday 23rd January 2020
Old Testament Narrative is the largest, but often least understood genre in the Bible. Everyone loves the epic stories but often fail to know how they fit into the overall story of the Bible and apply them badly. Therefore this entire conference will be focussed on teaching Old Testament Narrative.
Robin Sydserff (Chalmers Church, Edinburgh) will be speaking on Ruth and Charlotte Cornes (Holy Trinity Church, Lyonsdown) will be speaking on 1 Kings. There will also be workshops on Old Testament Narrative as well as ministry seminars. Each delegate will prepare a short talk on an allocated passage to present to their workshop group.
The Proclamation Trust recognises that women have an equal but different, complementary role to play in ministry in the local church. This conference is for women involved in Bible teaching ministries amongst women, students, youth or children, whether full-time, part-time or in a voluntary capacity.
If you long to handle, teach and apply the Bible faithfully, then this conference is for you. We would love to welcome you to Women in Ministry 2020.
The conference will begin at 5pm on Monday and conclude with lunch at 12.30pm on Thursday. You can find more information about our residential conferences including a sample timetable here.
