What's so special about preaching?

There are many forces that conspire to keep us from putting our hearts and souls into preaching. There are many voices that say that it is presumptuous, or simply pointless. As a result, there are many preachers who are thoroughly discouraged and worn out.

To encourage us, David Jackman first shows us that Jesus himself was a preacher, and then goes on to dismantle various objections to preaching. Then he examines what preaching really is.

He shows that to it is an amazing privilege and responsibility, that if it is done rightly, people will meet God, and God's rule in their souls will be restored.
