The second of three addresses on 2 Corinthians by Simon Manchester delivered at the Evangelical Ministry Assembly 2002.  

The second of two sessions given by Paul Barnett at the 2008 Autumn Joint Ministers Conference.

Between them, they give an overview of the background and themes of the letters to the Corinthians, and by exploring the history and culture behind the letters, open them up for the bible teacher or preacher.

The Cross is both the work of God (what he has done), and the revelation of God, because it shows us what he is like.

When we understand it, we stop putting ourselves at the centre of Christianity, and discover the truth about ourselves and about God.

What else should be at the heart of all our preaching?
